The Internet Connection is DOWN!
fury movie download
I can"t explain why but it feels funny when I see attendees get frustrated when they lost their internet connection during the seminar. Please forgive me if that offends you. I was like that too until I learned the meaning of focus.
You see. Our primary focus is to learn and not to get frustrated over the internet connection. We can actually turn off the frustration in a snap of fingers. It"s easy. Close your laptop.
If your objective is to learn, you can always take the notes down on a piece of paper and try it later (when the connection recovers). Too many people focus on the problem that they miss all the golden knowledge and end up blaming the organizer, technical person … etc except themselves.
I found myself learned so much more when I close the laptop and start to write on the paper. It"s not the problem of the internet connection. It"s the problem of mindsets.
Moral: If you can"t change the direction of the wind, adjust your sail.
Here"s another brilliant example written my one of my best friends, James in his blog. Read it here.
All I need Is A Super Duper Plan
All right, here"s another common mistakes. Everybody wants a golden plan that works for everybody. The fact is, everybody needs different plan and we need to develop it ourselves to suit our needs.
In addition plan always changes in response to the environment. When the environment changes, plan needs to change. In the business world, things are changing everyday. Plan is a guide, not a path. All we need are good strategies.
Let"s take this as an example. (I learned this example from Stephen Pierce nailed movie
during the Alpha Leader Training Program. It"s funny but quite true)
You will agree with me if I say that chess game is very much like a business game. When you play a chess game, can you lay out your ultimate plan to win your opponent?
Of course not.
WHY?
This is because we don"t know which move the opponent is going to take next. The environment is changing and we can not control the move of our opponent, can we?
All we can do is to identify the possibilities robot chicken star wars movie download of their moves and see what strategies we can use.
Moral: We control the plan and not being controlled by the plan. Plan changes accordingly to the environment. So, we need to learn how to come up with our own plan and not depend on others to give us a perfect plan that fits all situations.
Maybe you agree with my thought and maybe not.

Hey Raymond,
Your metaphor using the sail is brilliant! Why didn’t I think of that!
I think you made it abundantly clear what focus is about and how to be flexible. Brilliant!
Cheers
James
Hi James,
I like the metaphor too. Maybe you can think of a better one.
[...] Adjust Your Sail [...]
When I’m in technical training or attending techs workshop, we’re encourage or asked to close our laptop too, except in hands on session.
Why?? Guys not good in multitasking (read it from book titled ‘Men are from Mars…’, if I’m not mistaken).
Hi Zaki,
I really understand that. I’m a male too
Besides the “Men from Mars and Women From Venus” by John Gray, Allan Pease describe it quite detail in his book, “Why men don’t have clues and women always need more shoes”
“Moral: We control the plan and not being controlled by the plan. Plan changes accordingly to the environment. So, we need to learn how to come up with our own plan and not depend on others to give us a perfect plan that fits all situations.”
– Very well, said! The ideas of freedom and destiny vary amongst people. Destiny awaits us but we are free to shape our own fate. Life is about choices and how we respond to them with dynamism.
Well said, Miva.
That’s so true.
