This post is the continuation of yesterday’s post. Yesterday, I was talking about the rainbow and the feeling of gratitude.
Looking at the rainbow made me thought of the formation of the rainbow and what it has to do with my life.
The world always portrays sun as a something good or positive. That explain why we often see smiley face of the sun in drawings. On the other hand, rain is often associates to sadness or negativity. Some even say that the rain is the tears of the sky.
We need both rain and sunshine to form a beautiful rainbow. In the absence of one, the rainbow disappears.
Rainbow is just like a metaphor for a successful life. We need both good times (sunshine) and the not so good times (rain) to form a fascinating journey of life (rainbow).
It"s because of the not so good times that we learn how to appreciate and be grateful to the great times we have in our lives.
A piece of pizza is more delicious to a really hungry person than to a person who is not hungry at all and is still full.
I"m not saying that you must torture yourself or suffer to enjoy the journey of your life. What I mean is that both good times and not so good times do happen in our lives and it"s unavoidable.
We can not change that. All we can change is the way we think and feel. In another words, we can change our perspective to the things or incidents that happen in our lives.
Sometimes, the electricity has been cut off and there"s nothing you can do about it. Instead of feeling bad or uncomfortable about it, why not take it as a time to have a nice romantic candlelight dinner or supper with your love ones.
Perhaps it gives you the opportunity to stop working and have a nice chat with your love ones. You get my point … right?
What do you think? Do you have any experience in your life where you manage to stay positive when the not so good event happens? Go ahead. Share it!
