Last year a student of mine told me, “Sir, my mom said that we are like the person we hate.”

It didn’t make any sense to me back then. How could this be possible? What’s the logic behind it? She couldn’t give me any explanation. The only reason she could give me was, “Well, my mom said that.”

I really can’t relate it to the Law of Attraction.

My logic was, and is, if we are like the person or people we hate, then this world would be a disaster.

However, her words sank into my mind and it stirred my curiosity to dig deep into it.

Lately, I finally got it. I really got it! By analyzing the people around me, the bulb finally lit up. What she said wasn’t wrong. But it’s just a part of the equation.

“The people around you is the reflection of yourself” – Raymond Chua

Look at the people around you as mirrors. Whatever they do to you, good things and bad things are the reflections of yourself.

If sometimes you are kind, sometimes you are not, then you are attracting these kind and not so kind people in to your life.

If you are being selfish, you are actually attracting selfish people into your life. Isn’t that interesting?

If you are being harsh to people, don’t be surprised when people are starting to become harsh to you as well. You attract them!

However, if you are a grateful person, people will be grateful to you in return.

If you are willing to share your knowledge around, you’ll attract more people who are willing to share their knowledge with you, too.

I have been studying the people around me for months and all I can see is none other than myself.

The kindness, selfishness, understanding, love, stubbornness, everything!

So, if you hate some other people, watch out, you made people hate you in the same way.

I’ll elaborate more about this in the next article. In the meantime, just think about it for a moment and share your thoughts in the comment box.

If you have any question, feel free to ask. And if possible, I want to include the answer in the next article.

Stay tuned! The Law of Attraction always works whether you believe it or not.

I completely agree with you because if we are positive we will attract positive people and positive events. Otherwise everything will be negative and it is bad for us.

      • raymond

        Hi Lena,

That’s very true. Being a positive person is possible.

The law of opposites attract is not a valid one .. likes attract is certainly what applies most of the time. Social homogony, and propinquity … its been proven over a thousand times that people attract similar people.

      • raymond

        Hi Gas card,

It depends on which subject we are talking about. If you are referring to waves and vibration, then you’re right.

However, for the case of electrical charges and magnetism, opposite attracts.

Our neighbors who lived on both sides of us have died.I was so thankful to have them as our neighbors, they were kind and I cared a great deal about them.I feel so unfortunate that the new neighbors are hateful/scary/rude I just don’t feel happy at peace and safe as I used to feel. It just doesn’t seem fair.I’m a true/caring person and a fair person,I respect others and I do hope for others to respect me as well in return,But it is horrible living next door to these people.I didn’t attract this by raising my family and being a loving mom.At this time I have not enough funds to just relocate.we plant trees and used to enjoy our yard but all has changed. Why? I know this is some sort of lesson, but I feel so cheated in every way.

I have been thinking upon (and struggling with) this one for awhile. I have often heard that what we strongly dislike in someone is only a reflection of what we don’t like that resides somewhere within ourselves.

It’s tough though. While I can understand that the friends we attract have traits similar to our own…what about the people we work with? I mean, if you happen to work in the same building with 900 other people, and only a few are consistently ornery individuals, does it seem realistic to say that we “attracted” those people?

I have settled upon the idea that not everyone we find on this planet is necessarily someone we have personally “attracted,” but those with whom we are in closest contact probably are. And the strong negative feelings we have for someone may be an identification of traits that we have ourselves possessed, (either in this life or another,) which we learned were not helpful to us.

      • raymond

        Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for sharing. As for your question, we do not attract them directly but I believe that every individual, living things and object in the world is connected in some way. We’re a big family.
