I have often heard that what we strongly dislike in someone is only a reflection of what we don't like that resides somewhere within ourselves. It's tough though. While I can understand that the friends we attract have traits similar to our own...what about the people we work with? I mean, if you happen to work in the same building with 900 other people, and only a few are consistently ornery individuals, does it seem realistic to say that we "attracted" those people? I have settled upon the idea that not everyone we find on this planet is necessarily someone we have personally "attracted," but those with whom we are in closest contact probably are. And the strong negative feelings we have for someone may be an identification of traits that we have ourselves possessed, (either in this life or another,) which we learned were not helpful to us.
