Connecting the Dots

Welcome back. I hope you have watched and inspired by Steve Jobs’ Speech yesterday. Just in case you have not, here’s the link to the life changing video.

From the first story, which is connecting the dots, I have learnt that Steve Jobs did not know how he was going to do it (The Mac). All he knew was he is going to do it.

As long as he had the faith, the way will be shown. This makes me think of what Jack Canfield said in The Secret 13th warrior the divx online movie. He gave a very good analogy for this.

He said that a car which is driven through the night with the headlights only go 100 – 200 feet forward will be able to make its way from California to New York because all we need to see is just the next 200 feet.

download emma dvd If we trust that the next 200 feet won"t fall and the next 200 won"t fall, our lives will keep unfolding and eventually we will get to our destination because we want. How very true?

Steve Jobs said that we can not connect the dots by looking forward. We can only connect the dots by looking backwards and it"s very very clear. And he also trust that the present dot is going to connect him to the future.

Law of Attraction plays a very important role in his success. He believes in himself. He had the faith and he knew exactly what he wanted.

Steve knew that he wanted to be successful but he did not know how to get there. All he did was to have faith that the day will come and he trust his instinct. strays movie

He began by dropped out from the college, then taking the calligraphic class. 10 years later, he started the Apple Company. He applied everything he learnt in his calligraphic class to the Mac computer. It turned out to be a great success.

He didn"t know what he wanted to do after he dropped out. He didn"t even know that he"s going to start an Apple Company. All he did was he trust that the dot will connect to somewhere in the future.

This makes me recall one of the quotes by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

He said that, “Take the first step in faith. You don"t have to see the whole staircase. Just take the first step”

      Faith is a state of mind. Anyone can nuture this reassuring feeling. It begins inside the will of each of us. You are the only person who prevents you from learning to develop faith in yourself. Why stand in your own way?

      That’s true, there’s no reason for us to stand in our own way.

      Like what Dr Joe Vitale said in The Secret, “…you are the Michaelangelo of your own life”

      We create our own unique life and not live within other people’s shadow.
