Create Your Vision Board for The Year 2008

We are just a day away from a brand new year of 2008. I believe that you have already set your goals.

If you haven’t, probably you are in a group of people who are not able to follow their goals. So, take my piece of advice to not set any goals for the coming year and live your life as is.

This article is specifically written for those who have BIG dreams and would like to accomplish them SOON.

If you have seen “The Secret,” you are fully aware how powerful a vision board (vision wall in my case) is.

I am truly ecstatic and grateful that a copy of a nicely crafted and wrapped Sony catalogue was sent to me; there were tons of useful pictures in the magazine/catalogue that I can utilize for my vision board such as photos of a happy family, an iPod, walkman, etc. Wow! I was really overwhelmed!

I know the hassles of cut and paste job that some people hate, but bear with it, as the result will be amazingly worth it.

Alternatively, for those who loathe to do the cutting job or seldom stay at home due to work, I strongly recommend to simply make your own vision video instead. Doing so will totally eliminate the bothersome cut and paste task and the vision video is a fun and unique way to see your goals and aspirations come alive. Also, you can conveniently watch your vision video and visualize your goals from your laptop – practically anytime and anywhere. See your fantasy become a reality!

Take this time to sort out all the goals you have already achieved from your vision board; update it by inserting new goals you want and intend to accomplish next year.

Reorganizing your vision board will give it a new breath of energy. Plus, when the vision board or the arrangement is new to you, you tend to get excited and notice it more; it really does help you in the manifestation process.

      Raymond, that was a nice pointer to the mind movie.

      The universe has been very nice to me so far. I have little need for material things and I am now on a spiritual quest, which is also something that the universe will answer me satisfactorily.

      The latter reason is why I visit your site to see how others are benefiting and I am very happy for you.

      My vision board is one idea period. I live with it 24 hours a day. When something exciting happens, I shall promptly let you know. In the meanwhile, the law of attraction is working for me, in fact, sometimes, overtime too!

      Here just some sharing to those who still think that they do not have goal. Normally they will say “I don’t have any goals, I don’t know what I want to do.” Actually they do know what they want to do it just that they haven’t thought about it yet. How often do we really think about what to do or what we want to do next? If we start thinking what kind of life we want to have 10 years from now? As usual write it down like a mission, write as much as you like from there you will begin setting goal. As usual see below quotes of a day.
      “Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.” – Anthony Robbins
      “Goal setting is the 1st step in Creating the Life of Your Dreams.” – Scott Lee
      “People with goals succeed because they know where they’re going.” – Earl Nightingale
      “If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll end up somewhere else.” – Yogi Berra
      “To have Goals is to have a future, because without goals we will strive for nothing.” – Andrew Riding
      Oopps… I could go on and on. Lastly without goals, life wouldn’t be so interesting, would it?

      That’s good tips on how to achieve your goals for this year. Aside from that, there are different ways in which you can check out on how to achieve your goals.For now, I guess I’ll try to make a vision board for this year! I hope this one will work form me.

      I just have to say that i love your blog and what you have done with it. I hope that my blog can be as good as this one in the near future. This mind movie thing i love it. I made my own about 6 months ago and it has been amazing some of the things that i have attracted into my life because of it. Plus it was soo much fun to make!!!       Hey Raymond,
      Just wanted to give you an update on my mind movie. You talk here about manifesting your dreams and goals.

      well in mine i talk about running a solid international business. And about 2 weeks after i came out with this mind movie, i came across internet marketing.

      I also say that i teach and inspire people around the world. And last “unleash your marketing genius” i got to speak on stage for about 30-45 min and afterwards people were inspired to want to grow there internet businesses.I was also team captain for the alpha leaders. So kind of half way there. lol

      i also said that i wanted a group of friends that i could go skiing with. And last year and this year will be skiing with a whole bunch of my friends organized by the university.

      So all i have to say .. is that this stuff works. Provided you believe and take action on any inspired thought.

      I was an Alpha Leader too (In Malaysia) and I guess that’s the first time Laura come to the East.

      She couldn’t get use to with the tropical weather at first. :P

      I don’t think I can make it there because I will have another seminar right after that. That’ll be kinda rush.

      The journey back to Asia may take up 1 day of my time (traveling time + time difference)

      I agree with the concept here. Reminding yourself of your goals is a very powerful thing and this is a great way to do it. Without stealing your thunder, there are less expensive ways to do this but if a person is new to this, this soft ware should be helpful.

        I’m not good in cut and paste too.

        My students use it not only to create their own dynamic vision board but also use it in their company’s presentation, to make movies out of their vacation photos and so on. It’s indeed a great tool. :)

      I’ve used VisionBoard in the past but didn’t feel it particularly useful. I’ve restarted using photographs on a board, more to reinforce what I have and am doing rather than pictures of a lifestyle or material goods I haven’t got.

      To unleash the power of vision – in my experience, vision boards are okay – miles better than no vision boards! – but it does not get near the effectiveness of theater of your mind type of visualization. Touches on the “missing ingredient”, of course, called work :-)

      Zig Ziglar introduced me to vision boards a few years ago. He said (which I think is great advice):

      The things you put on your board should be things you get emotional about when you think about them. Do not put a picture of money up there, put a picture of what you want to buy with that money. Think about why it is you want that “thing”.

      I love the idea of having a visual reminder for the things you want to achieve. I work as an NLP Practitioner part time, and this is a great technique for encouraging people to set goals andmake their dreams in to reality.

      I love cutting and pasting from magazine pictures. The collage that gets created often has a hidden message when I look at all the images and symbols and allow them to tell me a story :D

      Maybe this method would work for me. Something visual that I see regularly.

      Written goals tend to slip my mind when I get busy. Even if I post them as text, I don’t read them regularly.

      Pictures seem to stick with our species and draw our eyes much more readily than words.

      I’m going to give this a try on some poster board and put it in my office. I might stick to some goals and achieve something I’ve managed to miss up till now.
