Yep, I like all the above comments.

Happiness is an emotional state that comes from within.

We can be inspired by external states, that is all.

No one can MAKE us happy. We CHOSE our emotions, and happiness is one of them.

Equally, no one can make us unhappy, again it lies in the choice we make.

That is one of the most powerful attributes we human beings have over other living entities – we are the only ones with free will, the only ones with the ability to engage in making choices.

Yeah, you’re right! Real happiness can be achieved if you know how to appreciate even little things around you. If you are contented with your life, I guess that’s enough reason for you to find true happiness in life.
