I am gearing up to get a divorce at the moment, and the point of your article is exactly why I am going to pursuit a divorce. I am married to a narcissistic husband and I am very worried about the effects this is going to have--or already has had--on my 4 children. I have recognized the long standing pattern of this in my family, and its time for the pattern to end!! If I don't get a divorce, then I am only condoning this behavior and my children will learn, from me, that it is okay to be in an emotionally abusive relationship. That, I cannot live it!
