Do You Think This Is A Waste of Time and Money?

Hi Folks,

As you all know, I have just came back from the UYMG seminar. It is an awesome, wonderful experience especially being an Alpha Leader for the event. icon wink Do You Think This Is A Waste of Time and Money?

However, I received some negative feedbacks from some friends during and after the seminar. Here is what they said:

(Let me put it in points form)

· The speakers under deliver.

· There are a lot of up-sells by the speakers.

· The internet connection lost sometimes.

· All I need is a super duper plan.

· I want a hands-on step-by-step.

· etc

Energy flows where attention goes.

If you keep focusing on the bad things, that what you"re going to get more out. This is the Law of Attraction

Let me explain the issue one by one.

I have learned so much from the speakers even though as an Alpha leader, we don"t have the opportunity to use our laptop because we need to move around and cater for attendees needs.

All we can do is jot down the strategies on a piece of paper so that we can follow up the methods later. What I found out is that some attendees actually ask for the sky. They want the speakers to stand by their side and point it to them the step-by-step. I mean, this is not possible, but you may have to pay them maybe $3000 per hour for 1-on-1 coaching. land before time the online

Moral: Be responsible to yourself and don"t hold others responsible for your own failure.

The speakers are trying to sell me something!

That"s the best part and this is where I learn most. Don"t you realize that you can learn how to sell something from their sales pitch? This is the most powerful free knowledge and most people ignore it. Again, if you focus on something good that"s what you"ll get and vice versa. serendipity download free

Come on. Those speakers have spent 10-20 years to develop their knowledge. Don"t you think it"s fair to pay them to learn all the short cuts from them? This is not a charity event.

If fact, we should be thankful that the speakers are willing to sell their knowledge and not keeping it to themselves. Otherwise, they"ll make a fortune in their cave without you knowing it.

Some speakers do not have the intention to sell anything. Why want to sell a coaching program while they can earn a lot more from their businesses with their precious time. However, they put up a package together to sell finally because of the strong request from other people.

Moral: If you expect to get knowledge without paying the price for it, you play the game wrong. download napoleon dynamite divx

      Hi Raymond,
      I often come across such cases from my experiences attending Seminars for whatever subject matter. The best you can do is just do research of what to expect. Normally for Seminars they will give you mostly guidelines but will not go in details unless it is a hand on methods on request that depend on each Speaker responses. From my experiences I came across Speaker who are generously sharing ideas what they thinks is good. But there are other who won’t go to that extend. It is the Speakers choice of whether they want to give more.
      For my case what I do that I will study what to expect who is the Speakers, what talk are they going to present, will there be any feedback, Q&A, interaction or individual presentation.Will there be refreshment normally attendees will take this opportunity get to know new friends. These you need to be prepared as not to feel dissappointed at the later stage. The little knowledges you gained you need to expand on your own meaning be creative in sloving problem. The best is that just be happy, positive and feel gratitude always of any outcome. Therefore it is not a waste of time or money attending Seminars coz with the knowledges you gained you can go far if only you’re a good problem solver meaning be creative a gift that all of us have. These only my opinion it can be right or it can be wrong. Thanks again for sharing today post.

      Hey Raymond,

      I’ll summarize what I have to say in 2 points:

      1) Know Your Goals
      2) Know Where To Focus

      With those 2 alone, anyone can get a ton of information and knowledge from seminars :)

      Hi Raymond,

      People came with different expectation, sometimes I think that we are very strange, we want to sell something (that’s the whole purpose of Internet Marketing isn’t it?) but we do not like it when someone selling us anything. Becareful, law of attraction is working here, if you do not like people selling to you, you could end up your prospect do not like you selling to them too.
      We came to an event to learn from world’s greatest internet marketing, but we do not like them to sell??? come on, it’s like going to Tony Robbins seminar and expect him not to burn the fire in us???

      I never attend any IM seminars and as a newbie, probably I’ll expecting the same thing too.

      However, saying it was a waste of money is rather inaccurate, unless you’re totally dumb and can’t absorb a singles information/knowledge from there or you fall asleep (impossible i guess).

      At least you met many Gurus and fellow IMs at the event. That is consider bonuses too. Exchange knowledges, get to know each other is part of the benefit too

      If I’m free and become full time IM later on, I’ll consider attending this kind of event, hopefully

      Hi Raymond,
      Yes, the key is “Preparation”. Could I add up, do more pre learning about IM. What I can see participants are not well prepared don’t know what to expect they are not clear what will be given. This is the danger for not focusing on what you want, the best way to achieve anything is to first decide exactly what you want and then focus on it. Because you attract what you focus on, it is really important to focus on what do you want, instead of what you don’t want as this is the biggest secret ingredient in success. The best way to keep focused on what you do want is to set goals. Goals work best when they are approached step-by-step. The rest is history.
      I’m commenting this due to reading link given by your readers just curious to find out what’s going on in there the UYMG seminar. Yes, I got the clear pictures after touring those blogs. This could also happened to any Seminars, my message here is just for sharing. Okay, thanks for reading this comments of mine.

      Thanks for stopping by. I hate selling too until I learned about the Law of Attraction.

      Since then, I’m looking forward to pay a price for every information and knowledge I learn in form of money or service exchange. ;)
