I’m Sorry That I messed Things Up
January 12, 2008 | 14 Comments
Do you remember that 3 days ago, I told you that it was the last day to vote for me (by clicking on the banner at the top right corner of this blog).
When I found out that it was actually the closing date for the registration/application of the contest and NOT the closing date for voting, my heart nearly stopped beating (sweat).
The first thing that came out to my mind was, “How am I going to tell my readers, social networking friends, mastermind group, the bunch of great friends from my coaching club and other circles of online friends?â€
“They will think that I"m trying to create the buzz and manipulate them to vote for meâ€
You know, all sorts of negative feelings just vomit out from my mind.
I can"t believe it
I can"t believe that the negative thoughts just came out so quickly and naturally without warning.
Being aware of my thoughts and emotions, I quickly caught the negativities and tried to turn it around.
How?
First of all, I know that I must calm myself down first. I quickly remember the advice of one of my mentors, Storm. Yes, that"s his name. On of the lesson he taught me was, “to be in the eye of stormâ€.
It means that when everything else is messing up like a storm, we must stay in the eye of storm (the center part of the storm) which is nothing but a pure calmness.
With this simple idea, I manage to shift my emotions in a twinkle of an eye.
All right, I have settled the emotional part.
Now, it"s time to shift my thought
Though I have calmed a lot, my mind was still bombarded with the negative imagination and F.E.A.R (False Evidence Appearing Real). I kept thinking of how I have ruined everything. (Actually it"s not that bad, it"s just that I added too much fuel to the fire)
So, to counter this negative energy, I quickly find the diamond in this pile of stones. I kept on asking myself, “What benefits I can get from this incident?†and “how I can change my perspective?”
As you ask so you shall receive
I quickly got the answers to the questions I asked myself. The first benefit I can get from my misunderstanding is TIME!
I mean that I will have more time to get more votes and able to catch up with other competitors. Yes! That"s the thing I was wishing and hungry for when I thought it was the last day.
The second thing is, I make myself believe that all my readers and friends are going to understand my situation. I must apply the Law of Attraction to attract what I want instead of the otherwise.
I began to visualize myself receiving positive comments and emails instead of the negatives.
Now, I have my motivation back!
In the end, I have one more thing to write in my success journal for that day which is being able to change the negative feelings and emotions into totally positive in less than 10 minutes.
I hope you benefit from the story I share with you today. What do you think?
P.S. BTW, please keep on voting for me. The closing date is on the 18th of January 2008.
Just in case you do not know how, here"s the instruction:

I"m sorry again for mess things up. Please forgive me for the misunderstanding. I love you all and thank you for your understanding. (Ho’oponopono)
Watch out for tomorrow"s video.
Stay tune!
