One of the elements to achieve success is self confidence. There’s no way to utilize the super power of the Law of Attraction without self confidence.

Self confidence is often being misunderstood and people usually relate it with the proud and ego, which are negative feelings. We are taught in school not to be proud and egoistic and here the problem arises …

When a person ties self confidence with the attitude of proud and ego, he/she actually imprisons and confines the self confidence from shining out from him/herself because it contradicts with the way s/he was brought up which is not to be proud and egoistic.

This problem can be solved by understanding the differences between self confidence and proud.

Self confidence is a positive feeling and should be possessed and enjoyed by every individual. Self confidence does not carries the meaning of insulting or looking down on others.

Self confidence is like when you get yourself a new haircut, a new dress or a new pair of shoes and you feel good about yourself. It enhances your emotion and improves your mood.

You feel happier, do things quicker, and as a result, you get luckier. According to the Law of Attraction, when you feel good, you’ll draw more good feelings onto you.

People around you wonder how you get so lucky each time that they oversee the power of the Law of Attraction that you tap into.

In my humble opinion, you feel the self confidence within yourself and not comparing yourself to others. By that, I mean, if you think that you are smart, that’s confidence but, if you think that you are smarter than (fill it in with a name), then that’s proud.

By drawing a fine line between the self confidence and ego, it’ll be easier to shine out your confidence without having to worry that you are expressing the immoral quality.

One of the steps of manifestation is to believe that you already have it. That’s confidence.

A friend of mine asked, “what if it doesn’t come true? You’ll be killed by the disappointment”

That’s quite true at the first glance. But if we think it over, the disappointment hit us only if we are not confident and patient enough.

Most people give up and feeling disappointed after meeting with Mr. Failure for the first time. If they are confident and faithful enough, they’ll find out that the failures are actually the bridges that bring them to their goals.

A friend of mine, David recently wrote about the 8 ways to be confident. You can read it here boondock saints the online .

I tried to be confident but

they viewed me as an arrogant person

As I have said earlier, self confident is one of the ingredients of success. Being successful and rich is every individual’s right. If you think the unprofessional public opinion is important to you, then you are trying to separate yourself from your success.

Till this point of time, I have never seen a single successful person who cares much about public opinion towards them. Why should you bother about how others perceive you and not the other way round?

If the public opinion out weights your success, then that means you don’t put your success as your top priority. And since it’s not important to you, you’ll never achieve it.

Stop living in the darkness. Don’t let the public opinion hangs you. You are the only one who is responsible for your own success.

Do you feel confident now? Are you ready to integrate your self confident into the Law of Attraction? Let’s talk.

Confidence the key to most aspects in life. Great post thanks

A successful person don’t get easily affected by what others around them are saying. If the Thomas Edison was easily affected by others around him, he wouldn’t have invented the light bulb.

      Cheers

      Hi Vincent,

If Thomas Edison got affected easily, then would be living in the dark at night. LOL.

      Hi L web,

      I can’t agree more. :)

Raymond, the trick to over come the problem of wrong projection of personality – instead of as a proud and arrogant person, as a self confident person is in learning how to be assertive without being aggressive.

      Hi Dining Room Tables,

That’s the point! I like this:

“learning how to be assertive without being aggressive”

      :)

This is so true especially the last part. I truly believe in the saying that goes “…whether I fail or succeed shall be no one’s doing but my own.” So start making success your top priority and stop worrying about other people’s negative perceptions. Remember, you attract more of what you focus on.

    8. raymond on October 21, 2008 7:13 am

It’s about responsibility, Charlemagne. You’ve got it right!

Wow, this is indeed a great post.
I did not know that there is such a big
      difference between self-confidence and proud
      and ego.

And you are absolutely right that we should
mind how we look at ourselves and not others.
We are the one that are in control of
      everything, not others.

      Shawn

    10. raymond on October 21, 2008 3:10 pm

      Hi Shawn,

You’re right. We set our own goal and achieve it. Nobody cares of our goals and destination except ourselves. :)

    11. Charlemagne Solanor on October 21, 2008 9:43 pm

It’s true. And to make things simpler why not compete with yourself instead of trying to outdo others when faced with a difficult challenge? Why not focus on outdoing yourself? You’ll feel much better seeing things that way.

    12. raymond on October 22, 2008 1:27 am

      That’s true, Charlemagne.

Competing with ourselves will also take the stress away and give us much more satisfaction.

    13. Sukosari on October 22, 2008 12:01 pm

I’ve been there to be unconfidence, but at the beginning of senior high school I changed my mind to be confidence after I realize that to be confidence is nice. And I feel good to be confidence right now :)

    14. raymond on October 22, 2008 12:53 pm

      Hi Sukosari,

When you are pleased with the result of confidence, you’ll never want to look back. :)

    15. Jenna on October 23, 2008 5:18 pm

Great post- I agree with Vincent in the fact those people who tend to have high confidence are the most successful. They aren’t easily swayed by others- something we should all remember :)

    16. Nasville Real Estate on October 23, 2008 8:01 pm

That is very true. Confidence helps you to conquer the fear.

      Hi Jenna,

That’s indeed a good lesson that we should bear in mind. :)

    27. Neo on February 20, 2009 6:33 am

Things you have written is quite easy to understand but it is quite difficult to acheive the inner state of self confidence, which can face any number of failures.

    28. raymond on February 20, 2009 11:11 am

      Hi Neo,

It is not impossible. That’s the best part. :)
