June 4, 2008 | 20 Comments

Do you know what the 3 most dangerous words are?
It’s called “I know that”
Many times, when I try to share something with others, this phrase appears.
“You don’t know it until you live it” – T Harv Eker
Very well said.
I have to admit that I used to use that phrase very frequently but thank god that I have drastically reduce the usage of that phrase in my life and since then, I can see a lot of positive changes in my life.
More and more people are more willing to share their opinion and thoughts with me and as the results, I learn more.
How can we learn when we have our mind close?
Or in another words, how can we learn if our cup is full?
“The usefulness of a cup is its emptiness” – Bruce Lee

Have you ever felt annoyed when you are trying to share something with your friends or family and they tell you that they know that (in fact they don’t)?
What do you do then? Most people will choose to stop talking and the person you are trying to talk to may miss out some good points from you, right?
That’s what exactly will happen when we say, “I know that”. We miss out the good stuffs that might follow along.
As a Law of Attractioners, we must train ourselves to be an excellent receiver and not a blocker. So, get ready to empty your cup today and prepare to receive what the universe has to give you.

Hi Raymond,
Harv really put it right. I remember since young and even up to a few years ago, I can’t stand people telling me things which I think I know and I really used the phrased “I know lah”, “don’t have to keep telling me that”, “I know know that”,”I know already”. My purpose of saying such things is to shut the person up and also to show off that I am smart.
After reading Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, I keep a conscious effort to keep quiet and listen purposeful to the person explaining things or sharing new stuff. In fact I keep reminding myself I can learn something from anything! Even “negative” incidents are a positive learning lesson which we need to receive in gratitude
. This is something which I have recently learned from Steven Pierce which I have posted in my personal blog titled “Are You Attracting Negativity Into Your Life”.
Anyway, I wanted to share that last night I listened to Michael Losier’s live recording and he talked about 3 most dangerous words! Today you posted this article and its really wonderful! Michael taught that the 3 most negative words are “Don’t”, “Not” and “No”. This also makes our list of words to eliminate longer!
Hi Hai Liang,
I believe the majority of the population have the same problem.
I’m grateful that both you and I discover it sooner than later.
And thanks for sharing the 3 negative words.
I appreciate that.
I think, the older we get, the harder it is to do this. I don’t know if not listening is a bad habit formed over the years, or just a blocking out of all the signals we hear in our over stimulated media world.
Hi Top Rated,

Hi Catzer,
I’m sure that you can relate to that. Their cups are full.
Thank you for the awesome article. I totally agree with you in this matter. I always encounter this situation and for me it will make that person look dumber. Sorry for my word. And if somebody do that to me, I will lost my interest to say whatever i want to say.
Thank you again.
Thanks for sharing, Mas.
If it’s me, I’ll lost the interest to share too.
I thought there would be a language tutorial -_- …..
Hi Aw,
You’re funny.
This is truly a great post Raymond. What is left unsaid is worth its weight in gold. He who knows that he knows not, knows everything. So, it is better to say, “I do not know, please teach me.” Miracles will follow!
Hi Dining Room Tables,
That’s a very good advice. I love miracles.

Hi Komodo Dragon,
Yeah, it’s very annoying.
While it can be quite annoying to be told that at times it helps to just keep the peace by waiting for them to ask for more details.
