Obstacles are one of the things that we can not avoid in our lives. Everybody has obstacles. Lately, my computer was attacked by some viruses and it “breeds” very quickly in every folder in my computer.

I tell you what. I attracted the virus and I’m quite happy with the manifestation even though it spoils some of my files but I’m not going to cover that today. (Maybe some other day)

The point I want to bring out is that obstacles appear every now and then and we can not do anything about it except …

… except for the way we see it. In another words, it’s called perspective. We can not stop the obstacles from popping out into our lives but we can see it differently.

To some people, traffic jam may be frustrating and it causes a lot of stress to some people.

However to another group of people, the way they see it is, the traffic jam gives them more time to listen to the beautiful song, stock market updates, motivational talk, interview or news broadcast from their radio.

I can give you thousands of examples but you get my point, right.

Most people can do the math, they can count. But the problem is, they are counting the wrong thing. Majority of people I have met count their barriers and obstacles instead of the blessing.

Positive people count that blessing and the more they focus on their blessing, the more they attract more blessings into their lives. Energy flows where attention goes.

The negative people do just the opposite and thus, they attracted the negative results.

The Law of Attraction

is non-bias and what it manifests is strongly related to the vibration that you have put out.

So, are you counting your blessing everyday or are you counting your obstacles? You know what to do, don’t you? Chat back with me. I’m all “eyes”.

Hullo Raymond. It is such a well written post that I have little to offer your open eyes. To take us back to the mid twentieth century, Norman Vincent Peale, was the pioneer in the power of positive thinking, a kind of ayg! I quote below a statement from him, which, I am sure you will find very stimulating. This simply reinforces what you have so able covered in your post.

“Formulate and stamp indelibly on your mind, a mental picture of yourself as succeeding. Hold this picture tenaciously. Never permit it to fade. Your mind will seek to develop the picture…Do not build up obstacles in your imagination.”
      Norman Vincent Peale

not many people has the ability to turn a problem to an opportunity. if every body knew this then we r living in utopia, but it doesnt mean that we cant learn … lately, i’ve using the time of our car pool (when i’m not driving) to catch up with my reading :)

oh by the way, hello :) this is my 1st comment here although i’ve been here a few times.

It’s not rocket science. I’m sure you can master it easily. :)

      Dining Room Tables,

      Thanks for your kind compliment.

I’m so happy and grateful to have this opportunity to share what I know with everybody here.

The quote is very stimulating. The first thing that enters my mind upon reading it is the process of developing a photo from its negative (the old fashion way).

Thank you for sharing the quote. I’m grateful. :)

      Hi azwanhadzree,

First of all, Congratulation! and Thank you for posting your 1st comment here.

One may not make it in the first attempt but, persistent pays. :)

I actually gave it many shots before I could turn the obstacles into opportunities. ;)

I began in my teenage years and only manage to see the “Gold” in every obstacle few years later. It could be quicker if I focus more on it.

      Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, i agree with you! Obstacles are always there. It depends to us on how we handle those obstacles- it makes us tough and brave enough to face problems. If we just focus on the negative side, I’m sure nothing will happen to us.

    10. raymond on March 10, 2008 3:24 am

      That’s true, Martin.

There are always 2 sides on every coin. :)

I’m counting my obstacles, not as my stumbling blocks, but my stepping stones instead.

That’s my blog is about, turning limitation into advantages,I’m doing a series discussing that right now, you have read one of them, I’ll let you know when I publish the second and third article.
I’m looking forward to your opinion, maybe it’s another perspective to the law of attraction. As you said, process of clearing instead of manifesting.

      Cheers,
      Robert

It’s great to have these tools, when challenges pop up, so that they don’t stop us in our tracks and we may even turn many of them around into something good.

I am counting my blessings so often these days. Really, there’s so much to be grateful for.

    16. raymond on March 12, 2008 6:13 pm

      Hi Brian,

Creating the awareness is very very important. Too many people let the obstacles hold them back and don’t even realize it.

      Hi Preschool Mama,

It seems that I can’t finish writing when I begin to write all the things I’m grateful for.

      Hi Raymond,

You’re spot on, it’s all in your perspective.

I’m sorry to hear about the virus though, hope you’ve gotten that all cleared up.

    19. raymond on March 15, 2008 1:25 am

      Hi JoLynn,

Thank you so much for your concern. I have formatted the entire laptop. :)
