A couple of days ago, I flipped through an old book that I have read several years ago, “Sun Tzu the Art of War” and I stumbled across a page about thinking out of the box.
It talks about how giant companies like McDonalds and KFC think out of the box to take their business to the next level. As they expand their business, they come across different people from different countries, which also have different cultures. And different cultures have different needs.
So, what these companies did were, instead of sticking with their master plan, they decided to think out of the box. They become flexible by repackaging their products to suit the local needs. As a result, they were able to compete with local businesses in the same industries with little effort.
That’s the power of thinking out of the box.
This little idea kept me thinking. How I can think out of the box when it comes to the Law of Attraction? The first thing that came into my mind is possibilities.
Often times, we tend to fix a way for something to come to us and this action closes all the doors of possibilities.
For example, if a person wants a bike badly, and he is thinking of getting some “extra money” from his boss (e.g. pay raise, bonuses) to achieve his goal; he is NOT thinking out of the box.
I’m not trying to say that he won’t be able to get the pat raise to buy the bike. But by saying or thinking that way, he is shutting other doors of possibilities which might be more harmonious to the universe such as get the bike as his Christmas gift, win a lucky draw, get a good deal… etc.
Do you see my point here?
We are living in the world of endless possibilities. Never fix the way they come to you. Let the universe decide the best way for these great possibilities to be delivered to you.
Practicing the Law of Attraction isn’t that hard after all if you are willing to think out of the box. Don’t fix the way. Just let it come to you.

Its good to bring up the aspect of not trying to force the law of attraction to work in a certain way. The universe always seeks the easiest and most efficient route to fulfilling our dreams. Sometimes we get in there and mess around trying to force outcomes that are not in our best interests in the first place!
Great offer ! It does not seem so hard to think the law of attraction out of the box as described in the article.
Hi Amiee,
It isn’t that hard but often overlooked.
Another great post Raymond. You seem to be inspired! It just happened that you came across the book and bingo, you have got an idea for a post! You are attracting your goals alright.
Hi Dining Room Tables,
You’re right. The bulb just light up like that and I began to write straight away.
Hi Raymond Burton,
I totally agree with you. It’s us that mess things up.
Hi, Raymond. I guess to put it simply using the example you gave, we need to just focus on “secret”-ing the bike and forget about the how – how you’re going to get the money for it, how you’re going to get it. Am I right?
Hi Maudrey,
You’ve got it!
Love learning about this…gives me inspiration when I hit walls and plateaus…sometimes I have to let go and not try to control everything
Goals to our life matters above anything and to achieve these goals we can’t stick to a particular thing and it needs flexibility too. so, its very important to think out of the box as McD’s & KFC did.
Hi mmo,
I’m so glad that you learn something from this blog.
Hi Cheap Conveyancing,
When we are flexible to the universe, the universe will be flexible to us.
The thought of going outside the box for the Law of Attraction is very interesting. It seems to me the most important thing when it comes to using LOA is changing your beliefs. I’ve been reading this book Free Mind Free Body by D.R. Boisse. It talks about how your thoughts create your reality. You can see several chapters of the book for free at http://www.boisse.org. Setting intentions according to Boisse is very powerful and he gives great tips on how to do this for your best success!
Hi Abby,
Thanks for the resources. Will check it out.
Raymond,
I really like coming by your site because you are always writing posts that really are uplift and inspiring.
I know you wrote this last month, but what a gift for me to read it in January and can really help boost my spirits into making 2009 my best year ever!
Thanks so much Raymond and I look forward to reading your next post.
